Sample Of Welcome Message For Church Believers

Prejudices death

In this post I offer you a part of the investigation contained in my book "The life of the world to come" available at Lulu's in ebook version and soft cover.

So I wrote that " are many prejudices about the death, no one looks at it with the serenity needed to make the final earthly journey. Most people do not believe in life after death, which is why it is viewed with suspicion and distrust.
The terror of having to make this journey alone anguish the man to the point that it is preferable to bury the memory, do not think ever.
Yet death is always lurking: diseases, nuclear weapons, conflict of any kind in the world, natural disasters, earthquakes, "the apocalypse - Messori says - is now a well-founded scientific hypothesis, not just a religious perspective" (Bet on death op.cit.pag.39). ;

The earthly life for people today, like those of yesterday, is full of suffering and tribulation, what's the point - some argue - thinking about other suffering, that death? We answer with another question: "If after the cessation of the beat of our heart's all over, what will be served, what would our suffering in the world?

Fanzaga Father Livio says that man is afraid of death because "has not made a Christian interpretation of death" (Look on eternity, Sugarco editions - p. 45)..
The Second Vatican Council states that "man was created by God for an end of happiness beyond the bounds of earthly misery ..." and that the Christian faith affirms that the death "will be won when the man returned to the state will be lost through sin, omnipotence and mercy the Savior " and concludes that this victory has been won by Jesus Christ with his sacrifice on the cross (the Second Vatican Council IV, 18).
Faith offers so with solid arguments to all those who wish to reflect on this topic by addressing the anxieties and doubts that afflict human life.

In the book "Betting on Death" Messori said, citing the study of the dying of the Kubler Ross, who only a few of them come to full acceptance of their status. This is because it denies them the opportunity to speak death. Need to be afraid of this reality that seems very pervasive. It would mean that after the death of the body, the risk would be to meet even the spiritual death of the soul. Although we are unsure of the infinite mercy of God, we believe it is an urgent problem that would discuss more seriously if it is true that you should get rid of all the useless ballast in those last moments to take the decisive step towards the Supreme Good.

man, nowadays, not only lack the awareness of death, but also of things past, of what will happen after the last breath. In a society that denies the devil and his influence in the world it is no wonder so much superficiality. Many scholars argue that today's man rejects the idea of \u200b\u200bhell and is uncomfortable that even in paradise. [1]
But what is the reason for so much indifference to an issue that touches the most important thing in the world: our eternal future?
G. Greshake in a scholarly theological debate about the death states that "if the man in the process is always vital matter and spirit, necessity and freedom, nature and person ... it means that death can not be just a fact destructive outside "(For a theology of death, pag.105, die like the theme of ecclesial practice - Concilium 4 / 1974. Queriniana Brescia).

Greshake mentions the thought of Ranner Boros and supporting a dynamic take place inside the death "an asset to bring to completion (Ibid. pag.105) . The well-known theologian, says that the moment of death requires man "the last and highest performance on freedom, under which he accepts death as the fulfillment in the mystery of God, or, in a last act of protest, it sticks to itself. So death is the highest act of man in which he, in freedom, completely realize his being "(Ibid. pag.105).
Boros who thinks otherwise not see in death "... first act of man is completely personal, so it is essential to emphasize the place to become aware of, freedom, the encounter with God and the decision the eternal destiny (ibid., p.. 105).

Greshake highlights another crucial point of the thought of two theologians when he writes that "the act of death is therefore fully personal and absolutely free because it is the moment of separation between soul and body so the spirit, freed from the constraints of materiality and temporality, is within all himself, "a full presence of being" (Ibid. pag.105) (source: Beppe Friend - The life of the world to come, Lulu Enterprise 2010 ) .

[1] recognized the emergence of a modern thinker, John Milton, who said: " Better to reign in hell than serve in Heaven .
